------------------------------------------During my time as an estimator at PCL, I was actively involved in the preconstruction phase of the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant project. My role required precision in performing quantity takeoffs, ensuring accurate cost assessments for materials and labor. I also engaged in contractor outreach, gathering competitive bids and strengthening industry connections. Through document analysis, I developed a keen eye for project specifications, identifying critical details that influenced cost projections and construction feasibility.
Beyond technical skills, my experience expanded my professional network within the construction industry. I conducted site visits, gaining firsthand exposure to real-world construction challenges and best practices. I also became proficient in Stack and various estimating tools, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency in bid preparation. This role not only deepened my expertise in estimating but also provided valuable insight into project management and execution, reinforcing my passion for the construction industry.

Babcock Canada
Technology and Innovation
Jan 2024 - Apr 2024

At Babcock, I worked on projects applying artificial intelligence for risk analysis, machine/part failure, and document classification. My role primarily focused on testing and refining two AI models while noting and requesting features to increase site efficiency. The ultimate goal of these applications was to improve the management and accessibility of documents using AI algorithms trained from past company solutions.

In addition, I worked on research and development to find and propose various projects to increase our technology's efficiency both in the office and in combat. This initiative aimed to use predictive analytics to anticipate potential malfunctions in maritime and aerospace defence assets (submarines, jets, and ships). By accurately predicting part failure, we aimed to address maintenance needs ahead of schedule, ensuring these critical defence vessels' operational readiness and reliability.

At AD ASTRA 3D, a 3D modelling company, we specialize in bringing the broken, irreplaceable fixtures back to life through the use of 3D printing. Our team excels in custom 3D projects with a keen focus on recreating out-of-market exterior lighting and plumbing pieces, alongside a variety of freelancing endeavors. Using a suite of tools including SolidWorks, Blender, Lidar scanning, and 3D printers, we craft props and helmets out of various materials while also noting each fixture in our obsolescence database for future inquiry. Our passion for innovation and precision in 3D modelling has positioned AD ASTRA 3D as a go-to source for 3D design and production needs.
